At Least 1 Killed in Collision Near Tucker Road Offramp
Bakersfield, CA (February 5, 2022) – A fatal traffic accident occurred on Highway 58 Saturday, the KGET News reported.
Our sources indicated a pickup and two semi trucks collided in the westbound side of the highway in Tehachapi. The horrible crash took place about a mile west of the Tucker Road offramp.
Preliminary investigation revealed the eastbound pickup veered into the westbound side of the freeway, leading to the wrong-way collision.
Shortly after 10 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. First responders found at least one person unconscious. Despite life-saving measures, the victim sadly succumbed to their injuries and died. The vehicle occupied by the deceased prior to the crash have not been discussed thus far.
Police shut down the highway at Tucker Road to give way to the investigation process. Detectives continue to work at this time to determine the precise cause of the deadly accident on Highway 58 in Bakersfield.
