1 Injured in Bakersfield Crash Near Panama Lane and Cottonwood Road
BAKERSFIELD, CA (September 12, 2021) – At least one was hospitalized after a car crash near Panama Lane and Cottonwood Road in Bakersfield.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident occurred on Sunday morning. Officers reported the wreck shortly after 10 a.m.
CHP said two vehicles collided head-on for an unknown reason in Bakersfield. They crashed near the intersection of East Panama Lane and Cottonwood Road.
2 Cars Collide Head-On
The incident log described the cars as a small white SUV and a gray Honda sedan. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
They found a person who complained of pain and another who had difficulty of breathing as a result of the collision. Medical personnel took one patient to a hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.
Officials did not disclose the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP forced the area of Panama Lane and Cottonwood Road to close following the wreck.
The cause of the Calimesa crash is still under investigation.
