At Least 1 Hurt in Collision at Oildale Drive and Decatur Street Tuesday
Bakersfield, CA (November 11, 2021) – A suspected hit-and-run car crash occurred in the area of Oildale Drive and Decatur Street on November 9, according to the California Highway Patrol group.
Initial records indicated two vehicles collided at the intersection in Bakersfield. Officials briefly described the cars involved in the wreck as a Chevrolet Malibu; and a blue Honda Civic.
Shortly after 7:40 a.m., rescue teams arrived at the crash site. Responding paramedics checked the conditions of all parties found at the scene. After the evaluation, authorities confirmed at least one person sustained injuries as a result of the wreck. The name and age of the victim remained undisclosed pending confirmation.

The CHP log mentioned one driver fled the scene before police arrived. Given that, detectives continue to work at this time to identify and locate the hit-and-run suspect.
Further investigation on the case crash at Oildale Drive and Decatur Street in Bakersfield is underway.
