BAKERSFIELD (January 31, 2016)- According to the California Highway Patrol, a hit-and-run collision involving two vehicles took place Monday evening at the crossroads of M Street and Southgate Drive.
The incident took place at roughly 8:37 p.m. involving a Mazda SUV and a second unknown vehicle which was not specified.
Injuries were confirmed as the fire department and paramedics arrived at the scene to assist multiple parties who had been injured in side the Mazda.
At least two of the patients were children as multiple parties were transported from the scene to the hospital with injuries.
The CHP report indicated that the driver of the other vehicle failed to remain at the scene and may have run away from the scene on foot.
No further details were listed as CHP will man the investigation.
