1 Injured in Bakersfield Hit-and-Run Crash at Highway 184 and Niles Street
BAKERSFIELD, CA (June 27, 2021) – One was injured after a hit-and-run crash at Highway 184 and Niles Street in Bakersfield.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident took place on Sunday evening. Officers reported the incident at about 6:35 p.m.
CHP said a vehicle struck a female victim for an unknown reason and dragged her in Bakersfield. The driver hit her at the intersection of Highway 184 and Niles Street.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Hillcrest Memorial Park. They found the person left wounded in the roadway as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then provided treatment to the patient for the unspecified injuries she sustained in the crash. Officials did not disclose her name and condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to help to the victim and fled the area. The cause of the Bakersfield hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
Officers forced the intersection of Highway 184 and Niles Street to close following the collision. Authorities are still searching for the suspect.
