1 Injured in Bakersfield Hit-and-Run Crash at Potomac and Quantico Avenues
BAKERSFIELD, CA (June 9, 2021) – One was hospitalized after a hit-and-run crash at Potomac and Quantico avenues in Bakersfield.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident took place on Tuesday afternoon. Officers reported the incident on June 8 at about 3:10 p.m.
CHP said at least two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Bakersfield. They crashed at the intersection of Potomac and Quantico avenues.
Car Collision Near Super Q Market
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene near the Super Q Market. They found one person who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the victim to the Kern Medical for treatment of unspecified injuries. Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded patient and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the other driver involved did not stop to render aid and fled the area. Officers forced the intersection of Potomac and Quantico to shut down following the collision.
Authorities are still searching for the suspect. The Bakersfield hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
