1 Injured in Bakersfield Hit-and-Run Crash at Union Avenue and Pacheco Road
BAKERSFIELD, CA (February 26, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash injured at least one person at Union Avenue and Pacheco Road in Bakersfield.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the incident occurred on Friday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck shortly after 1:30 p.m.
According to their report, a driver struck a brown Toyota Camry for an unknown reason. The two cars collided at the intersection of South Union Avenue and Pacheco Road.
Driver Hits Another Car, Flees Scene
Firefighters along with the paramedics then responded to the scene. They found an occupant of the Toyota Camry hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel treated the victim for the unspecified injuries they sustained upon impact. The name of the wounded party and their condition at this time were not disclosed.
Meanwhile, the other motorist did not stop to render aid and fled westbound. Officials described the vehicle as a brown Chevrolet Silverado with damage to its front bumper.
Officers forced Union Avenue and Pacheco Road to close following the Bakersfield hit-and-run crash. Authorities are still searching for the suspect.
