Pedestrian Hit and Injured by Vehicle on Chester Avenue Monday
Bakersfield, CA (November 10, 2021) – A pedestrian suffered injuries following a suspected hit-and-run crash that occurred on Chester Avenue, the California Highway Patrol group reported.
Initial records indicated a vehicle struck an individual in the 2401 block of N Chester Avenue in Bakersfield. Officials described the car involved in the collision as a silver Honda sedan.
Shortly after 11:20 a.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. First responders found the pedestrian conscious but with injuries. Paramedics then rendered aid to the victim. At this time, it remained unclear whether the injured party was released at the scene or taken to the hospital.

The CHP log mentioned the driver of the Honda fled the scene before police arrived. At this time, detectives continue to work to determine the identity and location of the hit-and-run suspect.
Further investigation on the accident on Chester Avenue in Bakersfield is underway.
