Pedestrian Hit and Injured by Vehicle in Bakersfield Friday
Bakersfield, CA (February 18, 2021) – On February 12, Friday, a pedestrian suffered injuries following a suspected hit-and-run accident on Royal Way in Bakersfield.
The California Highway Patrol group reported collision involving a pedestrian. Per CHP dispatch, a vehicle struck an individual in the 1500 block of Royal Way.
Shortly after 5:55 p.m., medical personnel arrived at the site and found the victim lying on the roadway. Paramedics rendered aid to the individual, and confirmed they suffered injuries as a result of the collision. A private vehicle reportedly transferred the patient to a hospital for treatment.
Police continue to withhold the name of the pedestrian pending confirmation.

Meanwhile, our sources indicated the motorist who struck the pedestrian continued driving after the incident. Detectives handling the case continue to identity and locate the hit-and-run suspect.
