BAKERSFIELD, California (Wednseday, December 2, 2015) – A four-vehicle traffic collision at the intersection of 7th Standard Road and Calloway Drive smashed one vehicle through the center divide and caused major injuries. The initial collision might have been head-on on the eastbound side. Debris from this collision however spread across all lanes and blocking traffic in both directions.
An ambulance transported the injured parties to an area hospital for emergency care. Emergency crews worked quickly to contain a fire and secure the situation.
The incident occurred at about 5:30 p.m., according to an incident report by the California Highway Patrol, Bakersfield. At least three flatbed wreckers were sent to the scene to help clear the wreckage.
