BAKERSFIELD, California (March 29, 2016) – A major injury collision was reported in the area of Allen Road and Santa Fe Way on Tuesday afternoon, according to California Highway Patrol dispatch team.
The crash involving a white Chevrolet Tahoe and a white pickup truck took place at about 4 p.m.
Paramedics responded to the scene and attended to at least one person who was believed to have been seriously injured following the accident.
As per the dispatch, the driver of the Tahoe was found trapped inside the vehicle. CHP mentioned a 6-year-old victim, possibly named Bronson Payton, was transported to Kern Medical Center to be treated for minor injuries.
The total number of wounded parties remained unspecified in the incident log.
Authorities will continue to investigate to determine liability.
