3 Injured in Bakersfield Crash at Taft Highway and Heather Meadows Drive
BAKERSFIELD, CA (June 6, 2022) – A crash injured several people at Taft Highway and Heather Meadows Drive in Bakersfield.
According to the Kern Golden Empire and Bakersfield Now, the accident took place on Monday night. Officers reported the wreck at around 9:20 p.m.
Police said the motorcyclist and a red Honda collided for an unknown reason in South Bakersfield. The two collided at the intersection of Taft Highway and Heather Meadows Drive.
Motorcycle and Car Collide
The rider landed on top of the car due to the impact of the collision. The victim ended up suffering from major injuries as a result of the incident.
Paramedics then rushed the patient to the Kern Medical for treatment. Medical personnel took at least two other people to a hospital with minor injuries.
The report did not disclose the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time. The cause of the Bakersfield crash is still under investigation.
Meanwhile, police forced the eastbound and westbound sides of Taft Highway to shut down near Heather Meadows following the wreck.
