Deceased Victim ID’d as Hagen Parnell, 19
BAKERSFIELD, California (March 22, 2016) – A motorcyclist died after a traffic collision at the intersection of Union Avenue and Thelma Drive late Monday night, according to The Bakersfield Californian.
Police said the 19-year-old Hagen Lloyd Parnell was riding a motorcycle on Union Avenue at 11:37 p.m. when at the same time a tan Ford Focus made a southbound turn onto Union from Thelma Drive.
The Ford turned directly into the path of the motorcyclist.
A report by 23 ABC News said Parnell was seriously injured and was rushed to Kern Medical. He succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the adult male driver of the Ford was taken to San Joaquin to be treated for minor injuries.
