BAKERSFIELD, California (May 28, 2015) — A motorcyclist was injured Thursday morning in a collision with a white Jeep on North Chester and Mckelvey avenues in the Highland Knolls community, according to a dispatch by the California Highway Patrol.
About 6:11 a.m., CHP officers say the two drivers collided at the intersection with the motorcyclist down in the roadway. Paramedics responded to transport the injured rider to Kern County Medical Center.
The driver of the Jeep remained at the scene of the crash and was questioned by police as they put together a report.
“Motorcyclists are especially vulnerable to injury in car accidents, but with the proper safety gear many riders can reduce the severity of their injuries,” said Attorney James Johnson. “I hope this individual gets the best care available for a full recovery from this accident.”
