BAKERSFIELD, California (September 2, 2015) — Justin Pensinger, 26, died Monday after he was hospitalized with injuries suffered from a DUI rollover crash that took place on Brimhall Road, near Highway 43 on August 18.
The young man was a passenger in a GMC Sierra pickup truck driven by J. Teagarden, 20, who was subsequently arrested on DUI charges following the solo crash. The vehicle had veered off the roadway prior to overturning.
The driver, Pensinger and a second passenger, Richard Ellis, 25, were not wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
“This is a tragedy for the family of this young man as they cope with his loss,” said Attorney James Johnson. “My condolences go out to them at this difficult time.”
