Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Bakersfield Crash at Easter and Potomac
BAKERSFIELD, CA (March 23, 2022) – A pedestrian was seriously injured after a crash at Easter Street and Potomac Avenue in Bakersfield.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident took place on Wednesday evening. Officers reported the collision at about 7:12 p.m.
CHP said a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in the city of Bakersfield. The driver hit the person at the intersection of Easter Street and Potomac Avenue.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Oakridge area. They found the person bleeding and down on the ground as a result of the incident.
Medical personnel then took the patient to a hospital for treatment of major injuries. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the driver stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the victim. Officers forced the area of Easter and Potomac to shut down following the collision.
The cause of the Bakersfield pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
