Pedestrian Badly Injured in Bakersfield Crash at F and 20th Streets
BAKERSFIELD, CA (September 17, 2022) – A pedestrian was badly injured after a crash at F and 20th streets in Bakersfield.
According to an article published by the Kern Golden Empire, the accident took place on Saturday evening. Officers reported the collision at around 7:30 p.m.
The incident happened when a vehicle struck a male pedestrian for an unknown in downtown Bakersfield. Police said the driver hit him at the intersection of F and 20th streets.
Man Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found the man who sustained moderate injuries as a result of the pedestrian collision.
Medical personnel then rushed the patient to a hospital for treatment. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and his condition at this time.
Meanwhile, police added that the motorist stopped and stayed at the site following the incident. Officers forced the area of F and 20th streets to shut down after the accident.
The cause of the Bakersfield crash is still under investigation.
