Teenager Hospitalized After Collision at Old Pine Street and Virginia Avenue Friday
Bakersfield, CA (August 27, 2021) – A 14-year-old suffered injuries following a pedestrian accident that occurred in the area of Old Pine Street and Virginia Avenue Friday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch, a gray Toyota Camry struck the teenager at the Bakersfield intersection. The CHP logged the incident at about 7:49 a.m.

Responding emergency crews later arrived at the crash site. First responders found the teenager conscious but with serious injuries. Due to the condition of the pedestrian, an ambulance transported him to the hospital for treatment and further evaluation.
Meanwhile, no immediate information was available on the driver of the Camry.
Additional details on the pedestrian accident have not been discussed thus far. At this time, detectives assigned to handle the case continue to investigate the precise circumstances that led to the crash.
