
Pedestrian Dies in Hospital Days After Crash
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (May 4, 2023) – Teresa Lynn Craig, 63, died at the hospital several days after a Bakersfield pedestrian accident on Shepard Street.
The mother of four adult children lost her fight for life days after a motorist hit her at 10:25 a.m. on Saturday, April 8th.
A driver reportedly struck the woman as she crossed Shepard Street mid-block near District Boulevard, according to The Bakersfield Californian and Kern Golden Empire. Meanwhile, a southbound vehicle hit Teresa Lynn Craig in the 4500 block of Shepard Street.

Firefighters and paramedics responded and located the injured woman in the roadway. The patient sustained life-threatening injuries as a result of the accident.
Medical personnel then rushed the pedestrian to a hospital and listed them in critical condition.
Meanwhile, police added that the driver stopped and stayed at the site following the incident. Officers forced a stretch of Shepard Street to shut down for a time after the collision.
