BAKERSFIELD, California (Sunday, January 10, 2016) – A man was found laying in the roadway at mile marker 2250 on State Route Highway 178. Witnesses reported seeing a vehicle hit the man, as well as seeing another man at the scene in possession of a gun.
The pedestrian sustained major injuries to his back and spine from the collision.
The incident took place this evening at about 7:17 p.m., according to an incident report by the California Highway Patrol, Bakersfield. Traffic was redirected at the break until the scene of the accident could be secured. No further information is available at this time.
