Pedestrian Injured in Bakersfield Hit-and-Run at Wible Road and Belle Terrace
BAKERSFIELD, CA (May 20, 2021) – A pedestrian was injured after a hit-and-run crash at Wible Road and Belle Terrace in Bakersfield.
According to an article published by the Kern Golden Empire, the accident occurred on Thursday night. Officers reported the incident at around 8:46 a.m.
The California Highway Patrol said a vehicle struck the pedestrian in Bakersfield for an unknown reason. The driver hit the person at the intersection of Wible Road and Belle Terrace.
Driver Hits Victim, Flees Scene
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near Highway 99. They found the victim who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then treated the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the crash. Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid and fled the area. Officers forced the intersection of Wible Road and Belle Terrace to close following the accident.
Authorities are still searching for the suspect. The cause of the Bakersfield hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
