BAKERSFIELD, California (Monday June 29, 2015) — A grey SUV killed a pedestrian at the intersection of Virginia Avenue and Larry Street in Bakersfield.
The accident occurred at 9:21 p.m. according the California Highway Patrol report. The officer on the scene assessed the extent of the pedestrian’s injuries and urgently radioed for assistance. However, by 9:36 p.m., the officer called for the coroner. The victim was pronounced dead at 9:51 p.m. In the meantime, all traffic was diverted on to Dorrance Street. The wreckage was removed by Randy’s Towing.
Nothing more is known at the moment regarding the circumstances of the accident. Police are investigating.
