Motorcyclist Injured in Crash at Bakersfield Intersection
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (June 28, 2024) — A Bakersfield Police officer making a U-turn collided with a motorcycle rider at Panorama Drive and River Boulevard.
The two-vehicle collision occurred at around 11 p.m. on Thursday, June 27th, according to Bakersfield Now.
Video surveillance footage confirms the Bakersfield Police officer was attempting to make a risky U-turn when the vehicle collided with the oncoming motorcyclist in northeast Bakersfield.
Also, there are signs that say “No U-turn” for traffic in both directions of Panorama Drive.
Paramedics responded and rushed the injured motorcyclist to a hospital in unknown condition.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault.
