BAKERSFIELD, California (May 18, 2015) — At least one person was injured Monday morning when a pickup truck and a car collided on Highway 43 at Pond Road, according to a dispatch by the California Highway Patrol.
About 6:32 a.m., CHP officers say a white Ford F-150 pickup truck and a blue sedan collided and one of the vehicles overturned next to the train tracks. The occupants of the overturned vehicle may have been trapped inside and police called for firefighters to respond with an ambulance and rescue those trapped.
Police will head up an investigation into the crash to determine the liable party.
