Car Rear-Ends School Bus on Mira Monte Drive
DATE OF COLLISION: Tuesday, September 4
September 6, 2018 – A school bus carrying students was rear-ended by another vehicle on Mira Monte Drive near Rio Bravo Country Club Tuesday morning, according to ABC News.
Primary reports indicated a passenger vehicle crashed for unknown reasons into the back of a Bakersfield City School District school bus. Officials said both vehicles were traveling in the westbound side of the road when the collision took place.
Several Students Evaluated After Bakersfield Bus Crash
At this time, the names of the students on board the bus remained unclear. Responding paramedics reportedly evaluated all students involved, but their conditions have not been immediately discussed.
Meanwhile, authorities mentioned the female driver in the passenger vehicle was harmed in the wreck. The name of the woman have not been disclosed thus far.
The precise circumstances that led to the accident remained under investigation.
