Skateboarder, 13, Hit and Injured by Vehicle at Haley and Columbus Street Friday
Bakersfield, CA (May 3, 2021) – A 13-year-old skateboard rider suffered moderate injuries following a traffic accident in the area of Haley and Columbus Street on April 30, Friday.
According to KGET News, the teenager was riding a skateboard and crossing the street outside the sidewalk. At about the same time, a vehicle drove through the intersection and struck the skateboarder.

The article published online indicated emergency teams arrived at the crash site shortly after 11:40 p.m. Responding paramedics immediately attended to the juvenile, and later confirmed they sustained moderate injuries as a result of the collision.
Meanwhile, officials mentioned the driver of the vehicle involved in the wreck stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation process.
Further investigation on the skateboard accident in Bakersfield is underway.
