Truck Overturns on Highway 99 in Kern County
KERN COUNTY, Calif. (Sept. 20, 2024) — A semi-truck overturned and collided with a pickup truck Friday morning on Highway 99 near California Avenue in Bakersfield.
The big rig truck loaded with carrots overturned across all traffic lanes around 5:39 a.m. on Sept. 20th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported a white Ford F-150 pickup truck was involved in the crash on the southbound side of State Route 99.
Paramedics responded to help those injured and Caltrans was on the way to clean up a hazardous oil and fuel spill from the truck.
Tow trucks removed the vehicles from the highway and investigators are working to determine fault for the Bakersfield truck accident on Highway 99.
