Semi-Truck Hits Cars on Highway 99, Near Norris Road
KERN COUNTY, Calif. (Oct. 19, 2022) — A semi-truck hit two vehicles Wednesday morning in an accident on Highway 99, just north of Norris Road in Bakersfield.
The collision occurred on the northbound SR-99 Nos. 1 and 2 lanes about 6:37 a.m. on Oct. 19th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported a man in one of the cars told them “he cannot feel his legs,” the report said. Paramedics responded and transported the driver to a hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries from the crash.
Meanwhile, all lanes of the highway became blocked by the vehicles and emergency responders.
A few tow trucks responded to remove the semi-truck and cars from the roadway.
The cause of the truck accident on Highway 99 remains under investigation.
