Bakersfield Crash Involving Cement Truck
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (April 25, 2023) — A cement truck and a pickup collided Tuesday morning in a crash on Lerdo Highway, just east of Zerker Road in Bakersfield.
The collision occurred around 5:30 a.m. on April 25th in front of 33350 Lerdo Highway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
It’s unknown what led up to the collision between the cement truck and a Ford F-150 pickup pulling a water tank. One of the vehicles sustained major front-end damage.
Meanwhile, paramedics responded and transported at least one person with major injuries to Kern Medical Center. The person had two broken legs and possibly a broken arm from the collision.
Tow trucks came to remove at least one of the vehicles with major damage from the roadway.
Meanwhile, the Bakersfield Police Department and CHP are heading up the investigation into the cause of the crash and liability.
