BAKERSFIELD, California (Sunday, January 24, 2016) – A tan pickup truck collided with a black pickup truck in a traffic collision this evening on East Panama Lane and State Route Highway 184. One other vehicle might have been involved. The collision caused a serious traffic hazard, as it spread debris across the roadway. A female driver appeared to have been driving under the influence. The ABC 23 News reported that the female driver fled with her three children on foot from the tan pickup truck.
The children had not been wearing seat-belts and the youngest sustained minor injuries after being thrown against the dashboard. Another party appeared to be injured and required ambulance transport.
The incident took place this evening at about 5:57 p.m., according to an incident report by the California Highway Patrol, Bakersfield. No further information is available.
