
Off-Duty Officer Fatally Struck by Big Rig on Foothill (210) Freeway
Glendora, CA (April 15, 2023) – Baldemar Sandoval died following a traffic collision that occurred on Interstate 210, also known as Foothill Freeway.
The NBC News reported Sandoval, a Los Angeles Police Department officer, was behind the wheel of a 2018 Honda heading on his way home from work. In the area just west of Grand Avenue, a big rig rear-ended the car driving by Sandoval. The horrible crash took place early Saturday morning, April 15.
Deadly Car Accident in Glendora
Shortly after 2:30 a.m., emergency crews responded to the location and found the driver of the Honda unconscious. Paramedics performed life-saving measures to the victim but he sadly succumbed to his injuries and passed away. Authorities later identified the deceased as LAPD Officer Baldemar Sandoval.
Police shut down the eastbound side of the freeway to give way to the investigation process. At this time, detectives continue to gather information to determine the precise cause of the fatal collision that happened on Foothill (210) Freeway in Glendora.
