BALDWIN PARK, California (April 4, 2016) — Two big rig trucks and four other motorists collided in an injury crash early Monday morning on the northbound Interstate 605 Freeway, at the Interstate 10 Freeway’s eastbound connector, a California Highway Patrol report said.
The crash took place about 3:04 a.m. this morning. It started with two vehicles, but then other motorists tried to swerve to avoid the first collision and became part of the crash. The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to help those who were injured in the collision blocking the Nos. 2, 3 and 4 lanes of the freeway. A female juvenile was one of the injured, but there were no further details.
Several tow trucks were required to remove damaged vehicles and an oil spill required cleanup.
Police are investigating what caused the crash and will determine liability.
