Motorcyclist Hurt in Baldwin Park Hit-and-run Crash on I-10 Freeway
BALDWIN PARK, Calif. (March 20, 2020) — One or two motorcyclists were injured Friday morning in a hit-and-run crash on the westbound Interstate 10 Freeway in Baldwin Park.
The California Highway Patrol reported the crash took place about 9:01 a.m. near the Interstate 605 Freeway interchange.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to the scene to help the injured rider or riders. One man was down on the ground in the HOV lane after the driver in a dark grey Lexus allegedly cut off the motorcycle. The suspect did not stop as required under California law.
Police closed down the express lane just east of Peck Road.
A flatbed tow truck was sent to remove the damaged motorcycle from the scene. Meanwhile, the Nos. 1, 2, 3 and HOV lanes were reopened about 9:31 a.m., the CHP reported.
