BALDWIN PARK (July 1, 2016)- According to the San Gabriel Valley Tribune, a 30-year-old bicyclist killed in a crash Thursday at Baldwin Park Boulevard and La Rica Avenue has been identified as James Hernandez.
The article disclosed the incident took place at 9:25 p.m.
Hernandez was riding his bicycle across Baldwin Park Boulevard when he struck by a 19-year-old driver heading northbound in a BMW.
An emergency airship was called upon to land at the scene and transport the 30-year-old Baldwin Park man to a trauma center, however, he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene before it arrived.
The driver was interviewed and questioned following the incident. It was determined the teenager was not under the influence as he was not cited or charged.
