BANNING, California (June 30, 2014) — One person was killed Monday afternoon when a semi-tractor trailer truck crashed into a passenger car on Highway 243 at Diamond Zen Road, according to a press release by the Riverside County Fire Department.
The traffic accident was reported at 2:35 p.m., CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighters rushed to the scene of the crash and had to cut open the sedan in an attempt to rescue a person, however, they died at the scene.
“Police will head up on investigatation into the collision and the report will be available in several weeks,” said Attorney James Johnson.
