BANNING, California (March 30, 2015) — One person died Saturday night in a pedestrian accident on the eastbound Interstate 10 Freeway, just west of Highland Springs, according to a press release by the Riverside Fire Department and a dispatch by the California Highway Patrol
CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighters responded to the scene of the traffic collision about 8:17 p.m. where a driver struck a pedestrian who died of their injuries at the scene. The crash brought traffic on the freeway to a complete stop.
Police are investigating the crash to determine liability. A report will be issued with their findings and this will be available to those involved or the family of the victim.
