Man Killed in Banning Hit-and-Run Crash on West Ramsey Street
BANNING, CA (May 28, 2021) – A pedestrian was killed after a hit-and-run crash on West Ramsey Street in Banning.
According to the Patch and My News LA, the tragic accident occurred early Wednesday. Officers reported the incident on May 26 at about 2 a.m.
Banning police said a vehicle struck a male pedestrian for an unknown reason. The driver hit him in the 1200 block of West Ramsey Street, near Eighth Street.

Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the crash site, just north of the Interstate 10. They found the Banning man left lying near the curb in eastbound lanes as a result of the collision.
Officials added that he sustained serious injuries due to the impact. Medical personnel later pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the motorist involved did not stop to render aid to the victim and then fled the area. Officers forced the eastbound Ramsey Street to close following the accident.
The fatal Banning hit-and-run crash is still under investigation. Anyone with information can call the police at 951-922-3170.
