1 Seriously Injured in Banning Crash on 10 Freeway Near Highland Springs Avenue
BANNING (June 2, 2020) – One was seriously injured after an alleged hit-and-run collision along the 10 Freeway late Tuesday night.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team received a call about the accident at approximately 11:45 p.m., east of Highland Springs Avenue.
According to their report log, a small U-Haul van and a semi tanker truck collided for an unknown reason on the westbound side of the 10 Freeway.

Fire department officials along with the paramedics responded to the scene and attended to one person who suffered major injuries as a result of the crash.
An air ambulance transported the patient to the hospital with possible broken knee. The name and condition of the wounded party at this time has not been yet released.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that one of the drivers involved did not stop to render aid and then took off. Officers forced the No. 2 lane of the freeway to shut down following the wreck.
Authorities are still gathering more information and evidence to locate the hit-and-run suspect.
