BANNING, California (August 29, 2014) — One person was critically injured Thursday night in a two-vehicle crash on the eastbound Interstate 10 Freeway at Malki Road, according to a press release by the Riverside County Fire Department.
About 5:40 p.m., CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighters and Morongo Reservation Fire officers responded to the scene of the crash and had to cut and rescue two people including one who was critically hurt. Paramedics rushed one person to a nearby hospital by ground ambulance.
CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighters with the assistance of Morongo Reservation Fire are on scene of a two vehicle traffic collision cut and rescue in Banning. One patient transported to local hospital in critical condition via ground ambulance.
Police are heading up an investigation into this crash to determine liability.
