Bicyclist Killed in Crash on Eucalyptus Drive is Identified
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (Nov. 19, 2021) – Barbara Moorhouse, 60, of Bakersfield, died in a bicycle accident Tuesday afternoon on Eucalyptus Drive in Bakersfield, the KGET News reported.
Additionally, the collision happened just after 5:45 p.m. on Nov. 16th, just east of Fairfax Road, according to the news report.
The woman riding a bicycle reportedly crossed the street in the 6601 block of Eucalyptus Drive. She reportedly drove into the path of an oncoming blue Honda Civic.
The Honda driver was unable to avoid hitting the woman riding a bicycle. The traffic collision took place near Fairfax Road in southeast Bakersfield.
Barbara Moorhouse ID’d as Victim in Crash on Eucalyptus Drive
Paramedics found the female cyclist unconscious in the roadway. Despite performing life-saving measures to the victim, she subsequently died on scene due to her injuries. The Kern County Sheriff Coroner later identified the woman as Barbara Ann Moorhouse.
Meanwhile, the driver involved stopped and cooperated with the investigation process.
Investigators seek to determine the cause of the deadly bicycle accident as well as liability.
