Barbra Newsome Victim in Pedestrian Accident
LOCATION: Apple Valley
DATE OF COLLISION: Monday, July 16th
July 17, 2018– According to the Victorville Valley News, a Barbra Newsome has been identified as the woman fatally injured in a pedestrian versus auto collision last night on Bear Valley Road at or near Algonquin Road.
Authorities report that the incident took place right around 9:00 p.m. when a motorcyclist riding a Harley Davidson collided with Newsome as she crossed the street.
Newsome tragically sustained fatal injuries as a result of the crash and was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the motorcyclist was thrown from his Harley following the accident suffering moderate injuries which including a broken arm.
The rider was eventually transported to a nearby hospital and will survive, according to the Victorville Valley News.
A Good Samaritan recounted her experience and stated that the motorcyclist was distraught and laid down near the victim attempting to provide life-saving efforts prior to the arrival of the fire department and paramedics.
At this time, no further details have been released in regards which party will ultimately be held responsible as the Apple Valley Police Department handles the investigation.
