SDG&E Worker Badly Hurt in Traffic Collision at 28th Street and Boston Avenue Tuesday
Barrio Logan, CA (May 4, 2021) – A San Diego Gas & Electric worker sustained injuries following a road accident in the area of 28th Street and Boston Avenue, the San Diego Union-Tribune reported.
On Tuesday, around 8:25 a.m., a 53-year-old man was behind the wheel of an SDG&E van traveling in Barrio Logan. When the van approached the intersection at 28th and Boston, it slammed into the back of a school bus.
Officials mentioned the school bus was stopped at a red light at the intersection when the collision happened.
Shortly after the incident, emergency crews arrived at the location and rendered aid to all possible victims.

The San Diego police initially reported the SDG&E worked died as a result of the wreck. However, they later said the man survived the crash with life-threatening injuries. An ambulance rushed the injured worker to a hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, authorities mentioned the San Diego Unified bus did not have any students inside at the time of the incident.
Further investigation on the traffic accident in Barrio Logan is underway.
