BARSTOW, California (August 5, 2014) – At least one person was seriously injured Tuesday morning on the Interstate 15 Freeway when the driver of a flatbed semi-tractor trailer truck struck a tractor trailer dump truck head on, according to a dispatch by the California Highway Patrol.
The driver of the flatbed truck reportedly was heading eastbound when the driver crossed over into westbound traffic and struck the other big rig truck near mile marker 40 at approximately 6:49 a.m., the report said.
California Fire Authority responded to the crash and called for an airship to transport at least one injured driver to a hospital.
“There are many factors that could have contributed to this collision, but until police fully investigate the circumstances we will not know why this happened,” said Attorney James Johnson. “
