Bicyclist Killed in Barstow Crash on 1st Avenue Near Lawrence Dale Drive
BARSTOW (December 19, 2018) – A bicyclist was killed after a traffic collision along the First Avenue bridge on Wednesday afternoon, according to The Daily Press.
The accident took place on December 19 at around 12:30 p.m. near Lawrence Dale Drive.
As per the article, Barstow police said a man was riding his bicycle on 1st Avenue when for an unknown reason he was struck by a vehicle.

Fire department officials along with the paramedics responded to the scene and confirmed that the rider died as a result of the crash.
The name of the deceased cyclist has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver of the car involved stopped after hitting the bicyclist and cooperated with the authorities.
First Avenue was forced to close between Hutchinson Street and Lawrence Dale Drive. The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
