BARSTOW, California (April 30, 2015) — A 30-year-old man was killed Wednesday night when his Yamaha motorcycle collided head-on with a car on Highway 247, according to a press release by the San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner.
About 9 p.m., CHP officers responded to the crash between the motorcyclist and a 2001 Ford Mustang. Paramedics were also at the scene to help those hurt, but the young man died of his injuries.
An investigation is underway by the California Highway Patrol’s Barstow Station. Police will determine which driver was liable and whether charges are appropriate.
“This is a tragedy for this man’s family as they cope with his sudden loss,” said Attorney James Johnson.
