BARSTOW, California (July 5, 2016) — Two people were pinned underneath a vehicle after it overturned Tuesday morning in a crash on the westbound Interstate 40 Freeway, a California Highway Patrol report said.
The crash took place about 9:53 a.m. near the southbound Interstate 15 Freeway. The CHP stated there were two people pinned under a vehicle and as many as six possibly injured in the crash. The black SUV rollover over into the center divider and was blocking the westbound lanes of the freeway. Three of the occupants managed to get out of the vehicle on their own. Traffic was diverted to the right shoulder as paramedics rushed to the scene to help the injured.
Police are investigating the crash and will determine liability.
