BARSTOW, California (April 11, 2014) – A woman was killed early this morning in a solo vehicle rollover crash on the southbound Interstate 15 Freeway, just south of Outlet Center Drive, according to a press release by the San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner.
About 12:25 a.m., CHP officers and Barstow Fire Department personnel responded to the single-vehicle accident and found a Caucasian woman dead at the scene inside a white Chevrolet sedan. Witnesses told police she had been heading southbound in the No. 2 lanes when she suddenly veered off the roadway and hit the center median causing the car to overturn numerous times.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the crash and will issue a report with further details within 30 days.
