Child Seriously Injured in Bay Point Hit-and-Run at Lancaster Lane and Lancaster Circle
BAY POINT, CA (August 31, 2021) – A child was seriously injured after a hit-and-run crash at Lancaster Lane and Lancaster Circle in Bay Point.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the incident on Monday afternoon. According to their dispatch, officers reported the collision at around 4:25 p.m.
The accident happened on August 30 when a vehicle struck a male juvenile pedestrian in Bay Point. The driver hit him for an unknown reason at the intersection of Lancaster Lane and Lancaster Circle.
Boy Hit by Car
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found the boy left wounded at 512 Lancaster Lane as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to the John Muir Health for treatment of a broken leg. Officials did not disclose the condition of the young victim at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid to the child and fled the area. They described the car as a gray or gold colored Dodge 4-door sedan.
Officers forced the intersection of Lancaster Lane and Lancaster Circle to close following the accident. The Bay Point hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
