Traffic Collision Injures Driver on Highway 4 Near Bailey Road
CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, Calif. (August 22, 2025) — A crash on westbound Highway 4 near Bailey Road left at least one person injured Friday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision was reported on August 22nd just before 7 a.m., and involved multiple vehicles, including a gray Toyota Camry and a white sedan that were blocking the middle lanes, as well as a Tesla. Emergency crews responded to the scene, and one driver was reported to have a possible broken leg, though they remained conscious.
CHP logs show lanes were briefly blocked during the response, but all lanes were reopened by 7:15 a.m. The injured person was taken to John Muir Medical Center for treatment of what was later described as an ankle sprain.
Tow crews were called to remove at least one vehicle from the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
