Head-on Crash Willow Pass Road at Poinsettia Avenue
BAY POINT, Calif. (Sept. 10, 2021) — A Bay Point head-on crash happened Friday morning on Willow Pass Road near Poinsettia Avenue in front of Anuta Park, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP reported the 7:36 a.m. two-vehicle collision on its website.
A westbound driver in a white Ford F-150 pickup truck attempted to pass another vehicle and crashed head-on into a gold Toyota Avalon, police said.
Both vehicles suffered major front-end damage in the crash. The vehicles both blocked eastbound lanes of Willow Pass Road.
Emergency responders came to the crash scene to help those hurt in the crash, but there are no further details at this time.
Meanwhile, authorities are investigating the cause of the crash, liability and whether any citations or arrests will be made.
